Who Is Kate Collins? Coach Chris Collins Daughter- Son Ryan
The Northwestern University basketball coach, Chris Collins, is the father of two kids: a son, Ryan, and a daughter, Kate Collins.
Since the Collins family has a history of association with sports (Chris’ father, Doug is a former NBA player-turned-coach), many are eager if the Wildcats coach’s children would also pursue the same career path.
As a matter of fact, his son, Ryan, who is still a student, works as a student manager at NWU. So, what’s his daughter Kate doing now?
Christopher Ryan “Chris” Collins is an American basketball coach who serves as the head coach of men’s basketball at Northwestern University (2013- present).
A 1996 graduate of Duke University, Collins turned to a coaching career in 1998 after returning from Finland, where he played for two seasons.
In 1998, he worked as an assistant at the WNBA team Detroit Shock under head coach Nancy Lieberman.
Then, he went to the NCAA as an assistant at Seton Hall (1998-2000) under Tommy Amaker.
It followed his journey to his alma mater, Duke, where he became an assistant under his collegiate basketball coach, Mike Krzyzewsk (husband of Mickie Krzyzewsk).
Having worked for 13 years at Duke (2000-13), he got a call for a head coach at Northwestern University.
