Red Dead Redemption 2 beaver location guide with maps
Besides shooting bad guys, committing crimes, and bullet (heh) journaling, you’ll spend a ton of your time in Red Dead Redemption 2 hunting. Hunting earns you a bit of money, gets you food to cook, and results in pelts you can use to craft new outfits and gear.
While you’re working on your crafting — either for the Legend of the East satchel or just a snazzy new hat — you’ll need to find a few beavers. The problem with beavers is that there’s only a couple places in the entire world of Red Dead Redemption 2 where they exist. But this guide is here to tell you where to find them.
The best (and most reliable) place we’ve found to hunt beavers is the small pond just south of the Elysian Pool and west of Van Horn Trading Post. This is the same location where you can find the Legendary Beaver. There’s a beaver dam and lodge here and, with a little patience, you can consistently find a three-star beaver.
One final reminder: You’ll need to use the Varmint Rifle if you want to get a Perfect Pelt from a beaver.
